Ranger Foundations: Adult Leadership Training Course

The Ranger Foundations training course provides leaders with foundational principles for conducting a successful Royal Rangers outpost meeting. Topics include the safety & supervision of boys, our mission & methods, outpost structure & leadership, the leader training process, conducting outpost meetings, curriculum and resources, uniforms & insignia, advancement system, patrol system, and annual program planning. This course may be completed in either of two formats:
Getting Started:
- Online: This course may be completed entirely online via the Royal Rangers online training portal. This format involves watching a series of videos and taking a brief quiz at the end of each session. A minimum score on each quiz is required to successfully complete the course.
- MS District: Saturday, 21 February 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. at The Trails.
Cost:
- Pre-Registration is $40
- Pre-Register by sending an e-mail to royalrangersms@msaog.org on or before 14 February 2026
- Walk-In is $45

Fee covers your training material, Ranger Foundations Patch, and lunch.
Things you must bring to class:
- Bring your Royal Rangers Leaders Manual as this is your text book for this training course. Make sure you have the updated (Complete) Leader’s Manual. Please Note: Once you get your manual you have to download the second half of the manual from TraCclub.org. If you don’t already have an active account with TraCclub, you can use the code that comes with the manual to access the Leadership Materials. Print off the second half of the manual and add it to the binder. Leader’s Manuals can be purchased from MyHealthyChurch.com
